Welding Qualifications:

At Coghlin Precision our well equipped metal production shop has the ability to complete full fabrication projects using a variety of materials. Our welding services are certified to AWS D17.1 standards. These specifications approve Coghlin Precision to work with many different metals, in addition to aerospace applications.

Welding Processes:

Coghlin Precision’s certified welding services operate using a range of welding processes including Heliarc, MIG, TIG, and Vacuum Welding. MIG welding (metal inert gas) is also referred to as gas metal arc welding (GMAW). It is one of the most commonly used welding processes due to its versatility and speed. MIG welding is typically applied to aluminum and steels, and it is the leading welding process in the automobile industry. TIG welding (tungsten inert gas) or gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) is another welding technique that is known to produce stronger, higher quality results due to its more complex nature and greater control. TIG welding requires more time and skill because it is a more intricate process that is useful for light metals and thin sections of stainless steel.
