Milling Applications:

Milling is a machining service offered by Coghlin Precision for the shaping of metals as well as other solid materials. Milling machines offer a variety of functions which allow for complex shaping and design. Examples of milling operations include slot cutting and planning to produce precise flat surfaces. Milling machines at Coghlin Precision also have drilling, rebating, and routing functions, as well as die sinking, which is the process of machining a depression into a steel block to be used for molding plastics. Coghlin Precision’s facility includes a full complement of milling equipment capable of manufacturing intricate shapes and tool paths as a result of the simultaneous movement of a rotating cutter and the work piece.
