Who is Coghlin Precision, Inc.?

Coghlin Precision Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Coghlin Companies, formed with the acquisition of Stonebridge, an ISO 9001:2000 registered precision machining and certified welding company. Coghlin Precision provides services ranging from R&D prototyping to finished production of parts and assemblies. Coghlin Precision produces machined parts in virtually any design configuration and in a full range of metals and composites, including Titanium. In addition to CNC machining and finish grinding capabilities, Coghlin Precision is certified to MIL-STD-2219 for welding, using MIG, TIG, Vacuum Welding, and Heliarc processes. Coghlin Precision produces parts complete to customer requirements, including painting, anodizing, marking, and heat treating. Coghlin Precision has been servicing commercial and military customers throughout the United States for nearly 50 years and has an established reputation of excellence and professionalism.

Who is Coghlin Precision’s Target Market?

Coghlin Precision serves customers in many industries including defense, oceanography, medical, electronics, printing, scanning, semiconductor, packaging, and other OEM markets. Coghlin Precision focuses on low to medium volume machining and welding opportunities with a proficiency of turning parts around quickly and accurately, as well as producing parts that are integral to a higher level system, often times including pneumatic, hydraulic and electronics.

Through a focus on Lean Manufacturing principles, Coghlin Precision has been able to effectively meet increasing demand for tighter tolerances and faster turn-around of parts. This has earned us many customer relationships that are over a decade long.

Facility Description:

State of the art 15,000 Square Foot facility with a full complement of CNC milling and turning, surface, ID and OD grinding, and AWS D17.1 certified welding. Milling capacity is to a maximum of 64” with a weight capacity of 4000 lbs.; turning capacity is to a maximum of 108” over a 28” turning diameter with a weight capacity of 3300 lbs.; full complement of measuring devices including a Gage 2000 Coordinate Measuring Machine and Digital Height Gauge.
